New property consultancy services contract is now live
The new Government Property Group (GPG) property consultancy services contract went live on 20 September 2024.
The new property consultancy services (PCS) contract went live on 20 September 2024. The initial term of the contract is 3 years, and it provides for two renewal terms of three years each.
The new contract makes it easy for agencies to increase public value and savings through a clear and transparent pricing model.
It creates a one-stop solution for agencies to procure property consultancy services that cater to the life cycle of a property’s needs.
Some of the key contract features include:
- value for money – provider rates are confirmed for the next two years Giving consistent pricing and price certainty. These are the maximum rates the provider can charge.
- a wide variety of providers across seven different subcategories.
- two new sub-categories: property related iwi relationships and sustainability services.

Property consultancy services — New Zealand Government Procurement
The new PCS panel has 35 providers made up of 18 incumbents and 17 new providers, with services available throughout the country.
The joining process is similar to All-of-Government contracts. First, agencies should read the PCS Services Agreement and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Then they complete the joining form on our website to accept the terms of the MoU.
Once we confirm an agency has joined the contract, and they can begin using the panel.
